Active Shooter Response Training on April 21
Active Shooter Response Training. On Saturday, April 21 at 8:30 a.m., Lt. Dan Fournier of the South Milwaukee Police Department will be presenting a program called CRASE. The Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) course, designed and built on the Avoid, Deny, Defend (ADD) strategy developed by ALERRT in 2004, provides strategies, guidance and a proven plan for surviving an active shooter event. Topics include the history and prevalence of active shooter events, civilian response options, medical issues, and considerations for conducting drills. Unfortunately this is a topic that we can not ignore and we need to be prepared. The program is open to all members of the Congregation. Ushers and Sunday School Teachers are strongly encouraged to attend.
