Kari began accompanying group singing when her first-grade class sang “Three Blind Mice.” Since then, she has worked as a professional organist/pianist for St. John’s Lutheran Church in Richland Center, WI, and for the Victor United Methodist Church and St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, both in Victor, NY. For seven years, she served as director of music for Zion Episcopal Church in Palmyra, NY, and she has performed in pit orchestras for several musical productions. Kari also plays the harp.
She and her husband, Bill, live in Shorewood and are recent empty nesters. Their five children live in four other states. In their free time, Kari and Bill can be found on their boat.
Kari works full time at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee as the University Advancement communications director. She holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree, both in communication and both from UWM.
