Start your brunch on Sunday, June 29, with a selection of pastries from their bakery and a fresh fruit smoothie. The brunch buffet features two chef-carved meats, eggs benedict with Jones canadian bacon, scrambled eggs, Jones bacon and sausage links, chicken tenderloin tempura with brandied apricot sauce, biscuits and sausage gravy, fresh Atlantic salmon, bread pudding, steamed farm-fresh vegetables, and, last but not least, a flourless chocolate cake for dessert. Coffee, tea, and milk are included. As you enjoy your brunch, you will be transported back in time! 

It is 1979, the day of the church’s Centennial Celebration, and past parishioners have gathered to share hot dishes, bars, and stories from the last 100 years. As the women cook in the kitchen, shared memories come alive through a series of flashbacks. Travel back to 1897 and meet Vivian’s grandmother; see Karin as a newlywed carefully navigating kitchen politics; and witness Mavis breaking through the door for the first time in 1944. The Centennial Celebration is bittersweet. Times are tough in this small farming community, and difficult decisions will have to be made.
